Matador Tuning party 2006Matador Tuning party 2006 took place on June 30th through July 7th 2006 at the airport in Hradec Králové. The event was attended by 25 000 participants and approx. 5 000 tuning cars. Following Friday’s all day rain the weather has come to its senses and therefore the spectators were able to enjoy the Saturday’s scheduled program having pleasant sunny weather. Officially the Matador Tuning party was started by prestigious Ing. Martin Soukup, the Mayor’s Deputy for areas of culture, school, health and social matters in Hradec Králové. The main area presented the stunt men Pavel Vik, Mirek Lisý, the group Stunt headed by Petr Hnětkovský, Pavel Korych, and the group Monkey Camp. Petr Manďák has made an attempt for a speed record on in-line skates and achieved the speed of 190.7 km/h while being pulled by a motorcycle. Roger Kirschner from the German team XXX-motorsport has shown off his turbine jet car in three rides being accompanied by the deafening screams of the spectators. Although his Jet Funny car, for the reason of spectator safety, could rev up all of its ten thousand horses under the hood only in the second half of the 400m track, he reached the speed of 283.5 km/h at the finish line. In the sky, a precise acrobatic show was performed by the Flying Bulls group. Also to be seen were shows in freestyle motocross, show on skateboards and bicycles on U-ramp. The most beautiful cars at the meeting were seen in the Tuning Cup contest. There was also a contest for the best audio called Db Drag. Evening at the main stage has seen the performance by the Navigators, a hip-hop group, which was followed with an interesting fire show by Pa-li-tchi and their fireworks and night show. We’d like to thank to all of those who have behaved properly and followed the instructions of the organizers. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Tuning party 2007 in Hradec. |
